Removal & Installation

A Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is installed into the oil pan. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS .

CAUTION: Be careful with the sensor and avoid impacts such as from dropping. Keep sensor away from metal particles.
CAUTION: Do not place sensor close to magnetic materials.
  1. Loosen the fixing bolt of the sensor.
  2. Disconnect crankshaft position sensor harness connector.
  3. Remove the sensor.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten attaching bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
