Removal and Installation (2.5L)

CAUTION:
Handle the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor with care, do not shock it, do not disassemble it, do not touch the internal sensor.
NOTE:
The intake air temperature sensor is built into the mass air flow sensor. See Figure.
- Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector. See Figure.
- Disconnect the tube clamp at the electrical throttle control actuator and the fresh air intake tube.
- Remove air cleaner to electronic throttle control actuator tube, air cleaner case (upper), with MAF sensor attached. See Figure.
- Remove MAF sensor from air cleaner case (upper), as necessary.
- Remove the resonator in the fender as necessary.
- Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- Attach each joint according to the alignment marks made during removal. Screw all clamps firmly. Tighten components to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
