Diagnostic Procedure No. 4: Procedure

- Using another registered ignition key, attempt to start engine. If engine does not start, go to next step. If engine starts, first ignition key identification chip is malfunctioning. Replace ignition key and perform ignition key programming. See IMMU INITIALIZATION under PROGRAMMING.
- Ensure that IMMU is installed correctly. If IMMU is not installed correctly, system will not operate properly and SELF-DIAG RESULTS on CONSULT will display LOCK MODE or CHAIN OF IMMU-KEY. If IMMU is installed correctly, replace IMMU. If IMMU is not installed correctly, install IMMU correctly and retest system.
