Diagnostic Procedure

- CONFIRM THE SYMPTOM
Check if vehicle creeps in "R" position.
OK or NG
- OK : GO TO 2.
- NG : Refer to VEHICLE DOES NOT CREEP BACKWARD IN "R" POSITION .
- CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS
Perform self-diagnosis.
Is any malfunction detected by self-diagnostic?
- YES : Check the malfunctioning system.
- NO : GO TO 3.
- CHECK LINE PRESSURE
Check the line pressure at the engine stall point. Refer to LINE PRESSURE TEST .
OK or NG
- OK : GO TO 4.
- NG : Check the malfunctioning item. Refer to JUDGEMENT OF LINE PRESSURE TEST .
- DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
- Control valve assembly. Refer to CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY .
- Disassemble A/T. Refer to DISASSEMBLY .
- Check the following items:
- Forward and direct clutch assembly. Refer to DISASSEMBLY .
- One-way clutch. Refer to DISASSEMBLY .
- B5 brake. Refer to TRANSAXLE CASE COVER & B5 BRAKE .
OK or NG
- OK : GO TO 5.
- NG : Repair or replace damaged parts.
- CHECK TCM
- Check TCM input/output signal. Refer to TCM INPUT/OUTPUT SIGNAL REFERENCE VALUES .
- If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
OK or NG
- OK : GO TO 6.
- NG : Repair or replace damaged parts.
- CHECK SYMPTOM
Check again.
OK or NG
- OK : INSPECTION END
- NG : Repair or replace damaged parts.
