Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Drain the engine oil.
  2. Drain the engine coolant.
  3. Remove the oil filter. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  ".
  4. Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to "REMOVAL ".
  5. Remove the splash shield using power tool.
  6. Disconnect the coolant hoses from the oil cooler.
    CAUTION: Do not spill coolant on the drive belt.
  7. Remove the oil cooler from the upper oil pan.
