Lock-up Is Not Released

SYMPTOM: 

Lock-up is not released when accelerator pedal is released. 

  1. CHECK CLOSED THROTTLE POSITION SIGNAL AND WIDE OPEN THROTTLE POSITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT 

    With CONSULT-II 

    Does "DATA MONITOR" show damage to "CLOSED THL/SW" and "W/O THRL/P-SW" circuit?

    Without CONSULT-II 

    Does self-diagnosis show damage to closed throttle position signal and wide open throttle position signal circuit?

    Yes or No

    • Yes: Check closed throttle position signal and wide open throttle position signal circuit. Refer to "TCM SELF-DIAGNOSIS DOES NOT ACTIVATE ".
    • No: GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK SYMPTOM 

    Check again.

    OK or NG

    • OK: INSPECTION END 
    • NG: GO TO 3.
  3. CHECK TCM INSPECTION 
    1. Perform TCM input/output signal inspection. Refer to "TCM TERMINALS AND REFERENCE VALUE ".
    2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

    OK or NG

    • OK: INSPECTION END 
    • NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.
