Diagnostic Procedure

  1. CHECK VALVE RESISTANCE 
    1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
    2. Disconnect terminal cord assembly connector in engine compartment.
    3. Check resistance between terminal cord assembly F30 terminal 3 and ground.

      • Resistance: 20 - 30Ω 

    OK or NG

    • OK: GO TO 3.
    • NG: GO TO 2.
  2. CHECK VALVE OPERATION 
    1. Remove control valve assembly. Refer to "CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY AND ACCUMULATORS ".
    2. Check the following items:
      • Overrun clutch solenoid valve
      • Operation check
        • Check solenoid valve by listening for its operating sound while applying battery voltage to the terminal and ground.

      • Harness of terminal cord assembly for short or open

    OK or NG

    • OK: GO TO 3.
    • NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.
  3. CHECK POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
    2. Disconnect TCM harness connector.
    3. Check continuity between terminal cord assembly harness connector F30 terminal 3 (BR/Y) and TCM harness connector E142 terminal 20 (BR/Y). Refer to "WIRING DIAGRAM - AT - OVRCSV ".
      • Continuity should exist. 
    4. Reinstall any part removed.

    OK or NG

    • OK: GO TO 4.
    • NG: Repair open circuit or short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.
  4. CHECK DTC 

    Perform "DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE ".

    OK or NG

    • OK: INSPECTION END 
    • OK: GO TO 5.
  5. CHECK ITEM INSPECTION 
    1. Perform TCM input/output signal inspection. Refer to "TCM TERMINALS AND REFERENCE VALUE ".
    2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

    OK or NG

    • OK: INSPECTION END 
    • NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.
