Sound Is Not Heard From Rear Door Speaker (Base System)

  1. HARNESS CHECK 
    1. Disconnect audio unit connector and rear door speaker connector
    2. Check continuity between audio unit harness connector terminal and rear door speaker harness connector terminal.
      TERMINAL CONDITION SPECIFICATION

      Terminals Continuity
      Audio unit Speaker
      Connector Terminal (Wire color) Connector Terminal (Wire color)
      M44 13 (B/Y) D202 - (V/Y) Yes
      14 (G/Y) + (G/Y)
      15 (R) D302 - (R)
      16 (L) + (L)
    3. Check continuity between audio unit harness connector terminal and ground.

    TERMINAL CONDITION SPECIFICATION

    Terminals Continuity
    Audio unit -
    Connector Terminal (Wire color)
    M44 13 (B/Y) Ground No
    14 (G/Y)
    15 (R)
    16 (L)

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 2.
    2. NG:
      • Check connector housings for disconnected or loose terminals.
      • Repair harness or connector.
  2. REAR SPEAKER SIGNAL CHECK 
    1. Connect audio unit connector and rear speaker connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch to ACC.
    3. Push "POWER" switch.
    4. Check the signal audio unit harness connector terminal with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.

    OK or NG

    1. OK: Replace speaker. Refer to , "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF REAR DOOR SPEAKER ".
    2. NG: Replace audio unit. Refer to , "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF AUDIO UNIT ".
