Sound Is Not Heard From Rear Door Speaker (BOSE System)

  1. HARNESS CHECK 
    1. Disconnect BOSE speaker amp. connector and rear door speaker connector.
    2. Check continuity between BOSE speaker amp. harness connector terminal and speaker harness connector terminal.

      TERMINAL CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION

      Terminals Continuity
      BOSE speaker amp. Speaker

      B128 9 (G/Y) D202 + (G/Y) Yes
      10 (L/Y) - (L/Y)

      12 (R) - (R)
    3. Check continuity between BOSE speaker amp. harness connector terminal and ground.
    TERMINAL CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION

    Terminals Continuity
    BOSE speaker amp. -
    Connector Terminal (Wire color)
    B128 9 (G/Y) Ground No
    10 (L/Y)
    11 (L)
    12 (R)

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 2.
    2. NG:
      • Check connector housings for disconnected or loose terminals.
      • Repair harness or connector.
  2. REAR SPEAKER SIGNAL CHECK 
    1. Connect BOSE speaker amp. connector and rear door speaker connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch to ACC.
    3. Push "POWER" switch.
    4. Check the signal BOSE speaker amp. harness connector terminal with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.

    OK or NG

    1. OK: Replace speaker. Refer to , "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF REAR DOOR SPEAKER ".
    2. NG: GO TO 3.
  3. HARNESS CHECK 
    1. Disconnect audio unit connector M44 and BOSE speaker amp. connector B128.
    2. Check continuity between audio unit harness connector terminal and BOSE speaker amp. harness connector terminal.

    3. Check continuity between audio unit harness connector terminal and ground.
    TERMINAL CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION

    Audio unit -

    14 (BR)
    15 (B/W)
    16 (L)

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 4.
    2. NG:
      • Check connector housings for disconnected or loose terminals.
      • Repair harness or connector.
  4. REAR SPEAKER SIGNAL CHECK 
    1. Connect audio unit connector and BOSE speaker amp. connector
    2. Turn ignition switch to ACC.
    3. Push "POWER" switch.
    4. Check the signal audio unit harness connector terminal with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.

    OK or NG

    1. OK: Replace BOSE speaker amp. Refer to , "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF BOSE SPEAKER AMP ".
    2. NG: Replace audio unit. Refer to , "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF AUDIO UNIT ".
