Sound Is Not Heard From Front Door Speaker or Tweeter (BOSE System)

  1. HARNESS CHECK 
    1. Disconnect BOSE speaker amp. connector and front door speaker and tweeter connector (LH or RH).
    2. Check continuity between BOSE speaker amp. harness connector terminal and front door speaker harness connector terminal.

      TERMINAL CONDITION SPECIFICATION

      Terminals Continuity

    3. Check continuity between BOSE speaker amp. harness connector terminal and ground.
    TERMINAL CONDITION SPECIFICATION

    Terminals Continuity
    BOSE speaker amp. -
    Connector Terminal (Wire color)
    B128 13 (L/W) Ground No
    14 (L/B)
    15 (W/B)
    16 (G/B)

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 2.
    2. NG:
      • Check connector housings for disconnected or loose terminals.
      • Repair harness or connector.
  2. FRONT SPEAKER SIGNAL CHECK 
    1. Connect BOSE speaker amp. connector and front door speaker and tweeter connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch to ACC.
    3. Push "POWER" switch.
    4. Check the signal BOSE speaker amp. harness connector terminal with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.

    OK or NG

    1. OK: Replace speaker. Refer to , "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF FRONT DOOR SPEAKER " or , "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF TWEETER ".
    2. NG: GO TO 3.
  3. HARNESS CHECK 
    1. Disconnect audio unit connector and BOSE speaker amp. connector.
    2. Check continuity between audio unit harness connector terminal and BOSE speaker amp. harness connector terminal.

    3. Check continuity between audio unit harness connector terminal and ground.

    OK or NG

    OK: GO TO 4.

    1. NG:
      • Check connector housings for disconnected or loose terminals.
      • Repair harness or connector.
  4. FRONT SPEAKER SIGNAL CHECK 
    1. Connect audio unit connector and BOSE speaker amp. connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch to ACC.
    3. Push "POWER" switch.
    4. Check the signal audio unit harness connector terminal with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.

    OK or NG

    1. OK: Replace BOSE speaker amp. Refer to , "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF BOSE SPEAKER AMP ".
    2. NG: Replace audio unit. Refer to , "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF AUDIO UNIT ".
