Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect battery cable.
  2. Remove windshield wiper and linkage assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION FOR WIPER MOTOR AND .
  3. Drain brake fluid. Refer to BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
  4. Discharge the A/C refrigerant. Refer to EVACUATING SYSTEM AND CHARGING REFRIGERANT . .
  5. Disconnect and remove high-pressure and low-pressure A/C pipes to allow access to ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to COMPONENTS .
  6. Disconnect harness connectors from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit).
  7. Disconnect brake pipes.
  8. Remove fasteners for ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) and remove from vehicle.
