Heater & Cooling Unit (Heater Core): Removal

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM (QG18DE) - SENTRA or ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM (QR25DE) - SENTRA .
  2. Discharge the A/C system. Refer to "DISCHARGING REFRIGERANT ".
  3. Disconnect the two heater hoses from inside the engine compartment.
  4. Remove the instrument panel assembly and steering member assembly.
  5. Remove the heater unit.
  6. Remove the heater core.
