Diagnostic Procedure

CHECK ECM POWER SUPPLY
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect ECM harness connector.
3. Check voltage between ECM terminal 121 and ground with CONSULT-II or tester.
  1. Voltage: Battery voltage
OK or NG
1. OK: GO TO 3.
2. NG: GO TO 2.

DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART
Check the following.
- Harness connectors E10, F48
- 10A fuse
- Harness for open or short between ECM and battery
  1. Repair or replace harness or connectors.
CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS FOR INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .

OK or NG
1. OK: GO TO 4.
2. NG: Repair open circuit short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.
Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
With CONSULT-II
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Select "SELF DIAG RESULTS" mode with CONSULT-II.
3. Touch "ERASE".
4. Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE .
  See DTC P1065 ECM POWER SUPPLY .
5. Is the 1st trip DTC P1065 displayed again?
With GST
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Select MODE 4 with GST.
3. Touch "ERASE".
4. Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE .

5. Is the 1st trip DTC P1065 displayed again?
Yes or No
1. Yes: GO TO 5.
2. No:INSPECTION END
REPLACE ECM
1. Replace ECM.
2. Perform ACCELERATOR PEDAL RELEASED POSITION LEARNING .
3. Perform THROTTLE VALVE CLOSED POSITION LEARNING .
4. Perform IDLE AIR VOLUME LEARNING .
  1. INSPECTION END
