DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

NOTE: Use the following test to check overall function of EVAP-CVCV circuit. During this test, DTC may not be confirmed.
  1. Disconnect hose from water separator. See Figure. Disconnect EVAP-CVCV 2-pin harness connector. Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage to EVAP-CVCV terminals. See Figure. With voltage applied, air should not flow through EVAP-CVCV. Remove jumper wires. Air should flow.
  2. If operation is not as specified, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If operation is as specified, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE for DTC P0442 .
