DTC Confirmation Test (Using CONSULT-II)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Before proceeding, ensure ambient temperature is more than 32°F (0°C). If DTC confirmation procedure had been previously run, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before continuing.
  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds. Turn ignition on.
  3. Select PURG VOL CN/V P1444 of EVAPORATIVE SYSTEM in DTC WORK SUPPORT mode with CONSULT-II.
  4. Press START. Start engine and let it idle until TESTING on CONSULT-II changes to COMPLETED (it will take about 10 seconds).
  5. If TESTING is not displayed after 5 minutes, retry from step  2.
  6. Press SELF-DIAG RESULTS. If NG is displayed, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
  7. If OK is displayed, system is okay at this time.
