Possible Causes

ECM illuminates MIL and sets DTC P1165 when SC vacuum check switch remains off under specified engine conditions. Possible causes are:
- SC vacuum check switch circuit open.
- Vacuum hoses blocked or misrouted.
- Defective Swirl Control Valve (SCV) solenoid.
- Defective SC vacuum check switch.
