Possible Causes

ECM illuminates MIL and sets DTC P0335 when CKP sensor signal is not detected by ECM during first few seconds of engine cranking, 1° signal (pulse) from CKP sensor is not sent to ECM while engine is running, or signal from CKP sensor is not in the normal position while engine is running.
Possible causes are:
- CKP sensor circuit open or shorted.
- Poor, loose, corroded or damaged terminal connections.
- Defective CKP sensor (POS).
- Defective signal plate.
