DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE: For best results, perform at ambient temperature of 14°F (-10°C) or more, and engine coolant temperature of 14-149°F (-10 to 65°C).
  1. Replace thermostat with new genuine NISSAN thermostat.
  2. Turn ignition on.
  3. Using scan tool, select COOLANTEMP/S in DATA MONITOR mode.
  4. Ensure engine coolant temperature is 149°F (65°C) or less. Drive vehicle at 50-75 MPH for 10 minutes.
  5. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
