The ECM controls on/off operation of HO2S 2 heaters based on engine speed. When engine speed is more than 3600 RPM, HO2S 2 heaters are turned off. When engine speed is less than 3600 RPM after vehicle has been driven for 2 minutes at 43 MPH or more, HO2S 2 heaters are turned on.
