Removal and Installation: Removal

CAUTION:
Never apply tack-paper adhesive remover to body panel surface finished with lacquer-based paints.
- Original side guard molding is affixed to body panel with double-faced adhesive tape.
- Heat molding to between 30° and 40°C (86° to 104°F) with a heat gun.
- Raise end of molding and cut away tape to remove molding. Remove all traces of tape.
- Remove LH rear combination lamp. Refer to "REAR COMBINATION LAMP ".
- Remove screw from slide door rail cover.
- Carefully pull off slide door rail cover releasing clips so as not to deform body sheet metal.
- Remove door sash cover.
- Remove screw from top of door sash cover.
- Pull bottom of door sash cover outward and pull up off hooks.
