Diagnostic Procedure

SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULT CHECK

With the ignition switch OFF, connect CONSULT-II and CONSULT-II CONVERTER to the data link connector, then turn the ignition switch ON.
Select "START (NISSAN BASED VHCL)".
Select "BCM" on "SELECT SYSTEM" screen.
NOTE: If the BCM is not indicated, refer to "CAN COMMUNICATION ".
Select "BCM C/U" on "SELECT WORK ITEM" screen, and select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS".
Check display contents in self-diagnostic results.

No malfunction : GO TO 3.

Malfunction in CAN communication system : GO TO 2.

SYMPTOM CHECK

Select "CAN DIAG SUPPORT MNTR" in "DATA MONITOR".
Select "START" and check display contents.

: After printing the monitor items, go to "CAN System". Refer to "CAN COMMUNICATION ".

CHECK COMBINATION METER
- Check combination meter operation.
Inspection results OK?
1. OK: GO TO 4.
2. NG: Check combination meter. Refer to "COMBINATION METERS ".
CHECK LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LAMP
- Disconnect BCM harness connector.
Does the low tire pressure warning lamp activate?
1. YES: Replace BCM. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF BCM ".
2. NO: Check combination meter and repair or replace.
