Cylinder Block: Inspection: Crankshaft

Check crankshaft main and pin journals for score, wear or cracks.
With a micrometer, measure journals for taper and out-of-round.
1. Out-of-round, (X - Y)
  1. Standard : Less than 0.003 mm (0.0001 in)
  2. Limit : Less than 0.005 mm (0.0002 in)
2. Taper, (A - B)
  1. Standard : Less than 0.004 mm (0.0002 in)
  2. Limit : Less than 0.005 mm (0.0002 in)

Measure crankshaft runout.
1. Runout, Standard (Total indicator reading) : Less than 0.04 mm (0.0016 in)
2. Limit : Less than 0.05 mm (0.0020 in)
