Air Bag Warning Light Does Not Come On

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Check for faulty METER fuse, located in fuse block in lower left corner of instrument panel. See Figure . If METER fuse is okay, go to step  3 . If METER fuse is bad, replace fuse. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. If METER fuse blows again, repair short in main wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If fuse is okay, system is functioning normally at this time.
  3. Disconnect diagnosis sensor unit connector. See DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Turn ignition on. If AIR BAG warning light turns on, replace diagnosis sensor unit. If AIR BAG warning light does not turn on, check AIR BAG warning light ground circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
