Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
  2. Slide seat to full forward position. Remove seat belt adjuster cover. See Fig 1 . Remove bolts from seat belt floor anchor and adjuster mounting points. Remove upper and lower B-pillar trim. Disconnect seat belt pretensioner electrical connector.
  3. Remove screw securing upper seat belt pretensioner to B-pillar. Remove bolts securing seat belt adjuster to B-pillar. Remove seat belt pretensioner from vehicle.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Activate air bag system.
