Corrective Action

  1. If this is first time for air bag system service, go to INTERMITTENT CODES USING CONSULT TESTER  under DIAGNOSTICS. Further inspection cannot be performed without CONSULT tester. If this is not first time for air bag system service, go to next step.
  2. If AIR BAG warning light is flashing 3 seconds ON and 2 seconds OFF, turn ignition switch to OFF position. This resets system from DIAGNOSIS mode to USER mode and erases memory. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
  3. If AIR BAG warning light is flashing fault code, system has not been repaired completely or another fault is present. Go to RETRIEVING CODES  under DIAGNOSTICS.
