Hard Start Or No Start (Cranks Normally)

Check fuel pump circuit.
Check fuel injector circuits.
Check battery and charging system. See appropriate GENERATORS & REGULATORS article in STARTING & CHARGING SYSTEMS.
Check Idle Air Control Valve-Auxiliary Air Control (IACV-AAC) valve circuit.
Check Idle Air Control Valve-Fast Idle Control Device (IACV-FICD) (where equipped).
Check ignition circuit.
Check Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor circuit.
Check Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor circuit.
Check Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor circuit.
Check Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system.
Check ECM power supply and ground circuits.
Check fuel pressure regulator.
Check start signal circuit.
Check EVAP system.
Check PCV system.
Check ignition timing and idle speed adjustment. See ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS article.
Check fuel delivery system. See FUEL SYSTEM in BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article.
Visually inspect air intake system for leaks or restrictions.
