Removal & Installation
Remove master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER . Remove clevis pin from booster input rod clevis at brake pedal. Remove brake booster mounting nuts. Remove booster assembly. To install, loosen the lock nut to adjust the input rod length so that the length "B" satisfies the specific value. See BRAKE BOOSTER OUTPUT ROD LENGTH "B" SPECIFICATION table. See Fig 1. Make sure to install a gasket between the booster assembly and the vehicle. Connect the brake pedal with the clevis of the input rod. Install master cylinder to booster assembly. Tighten brake booster mounting nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM . Adjust brake pedal if necessary. See BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT and BRAKE PEDAL FREE PLAY under ADJUSTMENTS.
