1. Remove the seat belt retractor assembly.

2. Slowly pull out belt while tilting the retractor assembly as shown in the illustration.
- Tilt the seat belt retractor assembly forward from the mounted position without twisting the retractor assembly.
- Belt can be pulled out when retractor is tilted 15 degrees or less from its mounted position.
- Belt locks and cannot be pulled out when retractor is tilted more than 35 degrees.

NOTE: The mounted position and angle differ among models.

If N.G. replace the retractor assembly.
