Parking Brake: Maxima

  1. Loosen parking brake cable. Depress brake pedal fully more than 5 times. Operate control lever 10 times or more with full stroke (231 mm). Turn nut to adjust control lever.
  2. Pull control lever using force of 44 lbs. (20kg). Check lever stroke and ensure smooth operation. See PARKING BRAKE LEVER STROKE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Bend warning lamp switch plate to ensure warning lamp comes on when lever is lifted and goes out when fully released. For rear disc brake be sure that toggle lever returns to stopper when parking brake lever is released.
