Heater Core Case: Service and Repair

Heater Unit:

REMOVAL
- Heater unit is not a serviceable component.
1. Drain cooling system. Refer to ("Draining Engine Coolant", "ENGINE MAINTENANCE").
2. Discharge the A/C system. Refer to "DISCHARGING REFRIGERANT".
3. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to ("INSTRUMENT PANEL").

Heater Unit - Removal:

4. Remove the instrument panel reinforcement.
5. Remove the cooling unit.
6. Remove the heater unit.

Heater Unit - Installation:

INSTALLATION
- Installation is the reverse of removal. Inspect cooling system for leaks.
- Inspect A/C system for refrigerant leaks.
