High Clutch

DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
Service procedures for high clutch are essentially the same as those for reverse clutch, with the following exception:
- Check of high clutch operation.





- Removal and installation of return spring.








- Inspection of high clutch return springs. Refer to the illustration for the inspection standard.





- Inspection of high clutch drive plate
Thickness of drive plate:
Standard 1.52 - 1.67 mm (0.0598 - 0.0657 inch)
Wear limit 1.40 mm (0.0551 inch)





- Measurement of clearance between retaining plate and snap ring
Specified clearance:
Standard: 1.8 - 2.2 mm (0.071 - 0.087 inch)
Allowable limit: 2.8 mm (0.110 inch)

31537-417X71: 3.4 mm (0.134 inch)
31537-417X61: 3.6 mm (0.142 inch)
31537-417X62: 3.8 mm (0.150 inch)
31537-417X63: 4.0 mm (0.157 inch)
31537-417X64: 4.2 mm (0.165 inch)
31537-417X65: 4.4 mm (0.173 inch)
31537-417X66: 4.6 mm (0.181 inch)
31537-417X67: 4.8 mm (0.189 inch)
