Parking Brake System: Adjustments

Adjusting Parking Brake By Loosening Lock Nut And Rotating Adjuster:

Exploded View Of Parking Brake Control:

1. Release parking brake lever.
2. Depress brake pedal fully at least 10 times.
3. Loosen lock nut "A" and rotate adjusting nut "B."
4. Tighten lock nut "A."
5. Pull control lever with 196 N (44 lbs.) of force.
6. Check lever stroke and ensure smooth operation. The correct number of notches is 10 - 12.
