Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection
COMPONENT INSPECTIONIgnition coil
1. Disconnect ignition coil harness connector.
2. Remove distributor cap.
3. Check resistance as shown in the figure.
Terminal / Resistance [at 25°C (77°C)]
(7) - (8) / Less than 1 ohm
(7) - (9) 7 - 13 K Ohms
If NG, replace distributor assembly.
