Parking Brake System: Adjustments

Adjusting Parking Brake By Loosening Lock Nut And Rotating Adjusting Nut:

Exploded View Of Parking Brake Control Assembly:

1. Pull parking brake lever several times until clicking sound does not occur from rear brakes.
2. Release parking brake lever.
3. Loosen lock nut "A" and rotate adjusting nut "B."
4. Tighten lock nut "A."
5. Pull control lever with 196 N (44 lbs.) of force.
6. Check lever stroke and ensure smooth operation. The correct number of notches is 10 - 12.
