End Play

1. Install the camshaft into the cylinder head. Refer to Timing Chain.
2. Measure the camshaft end play. The standard value for camshaft end play is 0.115 - 0.188 mm (0.0045 - 0.0074 inch).
3. The limit is 0.20 mm (0.0079 inch).
4. If end play exceeds the limit, replace camshaft and remeasure camshaft end play.
5. If end play still exceeds the limit after replacing camshaft, replace cylinder head.
