Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Release fuel pressure from fuel line. Fuel Pressure Release
2. Remove inspection hole cover located under the rear seat.




3. Disconnect fuel outlet. Return tube and connectors.
4. Remove the six screws.




5. Disconnect fuel tube and connector, then remove fuel gauge assembly.




6. Remove fuel pump with fuel pump chamber.
- Pull up the front of the fuel pump chamber.
- Slide chamber forward.
7. Remove fuel pump from fuel pump chamber.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

CAUTION:
- Tighten bolts to specified torque.

3.2-4.2 N.m (0.33-0.43 kg.m, 2.4-3.1 ft-lb)

- Always replace O-ring with a new one.
- After installation, run engine and check for leaks at connections.
