Fig. 31 Oil Pan Removal:
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove engine undercovers.
2. Drain oil, then remove center member and front exhaust tube.
3. Using pan removal tool No. KV10111100, or equivalent, and a hammer, carefully remove oil pan as shown in Fig. 31.
4. Clean any remaining liquid gasket from oil pan and cylinder block mating surfaces.
5. Apply a continuous bead of liquid gasket to pan mating surface, then install oil pan within five minutes of gasket application.
6. Install front exhaust tube, center member, and engine undercovers, then lower vehicle.
7. Allow liquid gasket to set at least 30 minutes before refilling engine oil.
