Base Idle Speed

Idle Speed/Ignition Timing/Mixture Ratio Inspection:

1. Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature
2. Stop engine and disconnect the Throttle Position Sensor
3 Start engine and race (2,000 to 3,000 rpm) 2 or 3 times under no load and run engine at idle.
4. Adjust idle speed screw to:
Manual Transmission - 600 ±50 rpm
Automatic Transmission - 725 ±50 rpm (in Neutral)
