Fig. 16 Applying Liquid Sealant To Water Inlet:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect thermoswitch electrical connector, then remove thermoswitch from water inlet, Fig. 33.
3. Remove water inlet to thermostat housing attaching bolts.
4. Remove thermostat from thermostat housing.
5. Reverse procedure to install, applying a suitable liquid gasket to water inlet as shown in Fig. 34.
