Camshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove distributor from engine. (Camshaft position sensor harness connector should remain connected.)
2. Turn ignition switch "ON".
3. Rotate distributor shaft slowly by hand and check voltage between terminals [3], [4] and ground.




If NG, replace distributor assembly with camshaft position sensor.




4. Visually check signal plate for damage or dust.
