Fuel Pump Control System

Fuel Pump Control Input/Output Chart:

PURPOSE
To allow the ECM ON/OFF control of the fuel pump.

OPERATION
The ECM grounds the Fuel Pump Relay to supply power to the Fuel Pump.
The ECM will ground the relay when:
^ The ignition switch is turned on, relay grounded for one second.
^ The engine is running, relay grounded continuously.
^ When the engine stops running, relay ground is removed within 1.5 seconds.
The ECM will remove the relay ground when any condition OTHER than the above occurs.
