1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain oil from engine and coolant from radiator.
3. Remove air duct from engine compartment.
4. Remove cooling fan.
5. Disconnect upper and lower radiator hoses.
6. Remove fan shroud.
7. Remove drive belts.
8. Remove crankshaft pulley and front and lower belt covers.
9. Remove oil pan.
10. Remove oil strainer, Fig. 17.
11. Remove oil pump assembly.
12. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install new oil seal and gasket.
b. Apply engine oil to inner and outer gears of pump.
c. Tighten to specifications.
