Check Engine Lamp:

The check engine lamp, located in the instrument cluster, illuminates to inform the driver of a malfunction. It can also be used by the technician to identify trouble codes stored in the E.C.U.

If a malfunction is detected in one or more of the following circuits, the lamp will stay lit while the engine is running, until the problem is repaired or is no longer detected.
