Throttle Position Switch: Testing and Inspection

Throttle Valve Switch Test:

1. Disconnect the throttle valve switch connector.
2. Using an ohm meter, check for continuity between terminals a and B when the throttle is closed.
Replace throttle sensor/idle switch if it fails the above test.
