Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Mass Air Flow Sensor Test:

1. Pull back the rubber insulator on the air flow meter connector.
2. Start engine and warm to operating temperature.
3. Using a volt meter, check voltage between terminal B and ground.
There should be:
1.5 - 2.0 volts at idle.
Less than 1.0 volt w/key on and engine stopped.
4. If not, check the hot wire for damage or dust and replace the meter if faulty.
