LT30 Brake System

Exploded View:

Brake Adjuster:

NOTES: Before installing new shoes, rotate nut until adjuster rod is at its shortest point.
Pay attention to the direction of adjuster:
^ Left brake...Left-hand threaded adjuster
^ Right brake...Right-hand threaded adjuster

Parking Brake Cable To Toggle Lever:

1. Fit toggle lever to brake shoe with retainer clip.

Grease Contact Areas:

2. Apply brake grease to the contact areas shown.

LT30 Assembled View:

^ Install all the parts by referring to the images above.
^ Be careful not to damage wheel cylinder piston boots.
^ After installation is completed, adjust shoe-to drum clearance.
Refer to Brake Shoe Adjustments.

Installing Adjuster Cable:

TECH TIPS: Place adjuster cable by pulling adjusting lever upward.

Crank Lever Adjustment:

After installing crank lever on back plate, make sure that there is no play between crank lever and back plate when pulling crank lever. If play exists, adjust bolt A and lock nut B.
