Disc Brake System: Service and Repair

PROCEDURES

1. Check for applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSB).
2. Perform Initial Test Drive and Diagnosis By Symptom.

3. Begin repairs, lift and support front of vehicle, remove front wheels.
4. Remove caliper assembly.

5. Inspect brake linings and caliper assembly.
6. Rebuild or replace caliper assembly if necessary.

7. Inspect brake rotor/hub assembly, replace or resurface if necessary.
8. Remove brake rotor/hub assembly.

9. Repack wheel bearings.
10. Install brake rotor/hub assembly.

11. Install caliper assembly and new brake-pads.
12. Bleed brakes.

13. Install tire and wheel assembly.
14. Perform After Repairs Test Drive.
