CHECKING THE NUMBER OF L.E.D. FLASHES
When a problem occurs in the A.B.S., the warning lamp on the instrument panel comes on. As shown in the Table, the control unit performs self-diagnosis.

To obtain satisfactory self-diagnosing results, the vehicle must be driven above 40 km/h (25 MPH) for at least one minute before the self-diagnosis is performed. After the vehicle has been stopped, the number of warning flashes is counted by grounding the check terminal, with the engine running,there be identifying a malfunctioning part or unit by the number of flashes.

If more than two parts or units malfunction at the same time, the warning lamp will flash to indicate one of the malfunctioning parts or units. After the part or unit has been repaired,the warning lamp will then flash to indicate that the other part or unit is malfunctioning.
