Throttle Body: Description and Operation

The throttle chamber, located on the intake air plenum, is used to regulate the amount of air flowing into the engine, thereby controlling engine output.
The throttle chamber contains the following components:
^ Vacuum fitting for EGR solenoid
^ Vacuum fitting for carbon canister vacuum port
^ Vacuum fitting for vapor purge tube
^ Throttle shaft and valve
