Gear Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

Neutral Switch Test:

1. Disconnect the the [1][2]neutral switch connector.
2. Connect an ohm meter to switch terminals.
3. Make certain continuity exists only when the transmission is shifted into neutral.
Replace the switch if it fails the above test.
